Ioannis S. Pantelidis PhD, FIH is a Principal Lecturer in Hospitality and
Culinary Arts at Brighton University and Academic Centre leader of the Postgraduate Programmes at the School of Sport and Service Management. He holds a PhD and an MSc from the University of Surrey and a Swiss hotel management diploma. He is hospitality editor of the Journal of Tourism and Hospitality research (http://thr.sagepub.com) and a member of the executive of the Institute of Hospitality. He is passionate about hospitality education and applied research that helps industry, as he comes from a family of hoteliers and restaurateurs. Prior to his academic career, he worked for Hotels and Restaurants in Europe and he still keeps one leg in industry by providing consultancy services to tourism destinations, hoteliers and restauranteurs. He is a regular columnist for the hotel magazine (www.hotel-industry.co.uk) with a popular column that focuses on hotel technology strategies.
