Alan Willis

Alan Willis

I have been involved in Hospitality & Catering education since 1975. I started as a Lecturer at High Peak College (now University of Derby)

In 1988 I moved to Clarendon College, Nottingham (now New College Nottingham) in order to teach on H E programmes which were validated by Nottingham Trent University. Whilst in Nottingham I studied for a Masters in Education at Nottingham Trent University.

I became H E Courses Leader within the School of Hospitality and Catering and developed one of the first Foundation Degrees in Events Management (validated by Loughborough University) I also ensured the successful validation of New College's own BA (Hons) Service Sector Management. I successfully managed the change from HNDs to Foundation Degrees of all the Hospitality and Tourism Management programmes.
