Anne Conneally

Anne has worked as part of the Hospitality team at Sheffield Hallam University since 2008. As Senior Lecturer, she teaches human resource management to undergraduate and postgraduate hospitality business management students.

Positions of responsibility: Course Leader, Module Leader, External Examiner, Extern Course Validation Panel Member for Pegasus International College, Vietnam and Elite Business School, Mauritius. Anne is also a certified Emotional Intelligence Coach with RocheMartin Inc.

Following on from studying Hospitality Management at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and Dublin Institute of Technology, Anne completed her master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations at National University Ireland, Galway. 

She has had an avid interest in both people management as well as the hospitality industry from an early age; working in small family run guesthouses in Ireland, Michelin star restaurants in Germany and worldwide international hotel group: Marriott International, Inc. in USA.

Her research interests focus on Human Resource Management; specifically, employee well-being, employee engagement, leadership and employability within the service sector.

Anne is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, Higher Education Academy, Institute of Hospitality and a member of the Academy of International Business.
