Chair of the CHME

11th Nov 2011

Following Isabell Hodgson’s retirement from Hospitality and Retailing Centre Leader at Leeds Metropolitan University, Dr. Angela Roper will act as sole chair of CHME until May 2012 AGM. However, Isabell will continue to play a key a role within the executive as administrator and contact for CHME.

PATH, the placement tutors sub- group has also welcomed a change of Chair. After many years of leading this very successful group Angie Maher has passed the baton on to Edward Gallier who will serve as chair for 3 years.

The executive has also welcomed the first industry representative to the committee. Tim West from Lexington Catering joined in September 2011. The election of both Tim and Edward will ensure that issues discussed cover all perspectives and not just education.

During 2011 CHME has enjoyed 3 successful conferences. The first of the year was the student conference hosted by the University of Huddersfield .
